Dear Praying Friends,
We had the privilege to be in the States for the months of October and November. We were invited to be in a mission's conference in Tacoma, WA and someone was able to pay for our plane tickets. While in the States, we were able to visit some of our supporting churches and also some new churches. We traveled more than 11,500 miles by car. We traveled on the west coast and then to the Midwest and finally to the east coast. After the Sunday evening service, on November 22 in Exeter, Maine we started driving to southern California. It was a long trip of more than 3000 miles, but praise God we arrived safely on Wednesday morning, November 25. Thank you to those who prayed for our safety. We had a great time visiting our family and friends.
In the Philippines God has given faithful and able men to preach the Word of God while I was gone and the ministry has continued to flourish these past 2 months. GVBC has seen 960 salvations through personal soulwinning and 309 professions of faith with 209 souls following the Lord in the water of baptism. We also started a Friday youth service before we left for the States and have seen a tremendous growth with an average attendance of 101 young people.
Years ago I requested for you all to keep praying for the spiritual growth of one of my converts named Arnold Pomaris. Because of prayers and God's mercy, Arnold has grown so much in his faith. He has been making all the announcements in our services while I have been gone as well as being our head usher. He even preached a few times! Please continue to pray for him and his family. Also please pray for our married lay preachers to keep growing. Here are their names: Ruben Huang, Mike Suyam, Jordan Degay, Peter Lepago, Roy Tablac, Lope Laugo, and Bein Casis. Please pray for their families as well.
December 1, at 10:45 PM (Pacific Standard Time) we took a flight from LAX and we arrived at 11:55 AM December 3 in Manila. 21 of our church members drove 6 hours in a bus that doesn't have air conditioning just to meet us at the airport and then waited 3 hours for us to arrive. That's love. They even made us a welcome home sign. Friday, December 4 at 6:00 PM I preached at our church for our church wide revival 230 people showed up to see their preacher before Sunday. We are so glad to be home! Well GLORY!
Here are some additional prayer request. Our Bible Students and a couple of our single preachers.
Reny Mina, Jessie Rimando, Teejay Pascual, Glenn Suyam, Jonathan Danillo, Paul Barrientos, Cyrus Daleg, and Solomon Bugatan
Ladies in Bible College: Cristina Mamitag, Grace Atizado, Gwen Rimando, Gladys Barrientos, Hazel Perweg, and Marvie Basilan
Please pray that their faith fail not.
I attached a letter concerning the big project for Baguio City in August 2010 that I mentioned very briefly in my last prayer letter. Please pray about what you can do for this project because it's going to be a big, historical event that will have a big impact on Baguio City and surrounding areas. We are commanded to attack the gates of hell and the only way we can do that is to use our sword, the Word of God. We can use every penny you can give for this project. If after praying for God's direction, you would like to give money for this project, you can either send a check directly to Faith Baptist Church, or you can send it to our sending church. Either way, please indicate in the memo that it is for Baguio city 2010 project- Froi Medina. Once again thank you for investing.
For His glory,
Froi Medina
